Three people died in a car crash in Bingham county yesterday.  Idaho state police say the accident occurred just after 8 pm.  A 22 year old failed to stop at an intersection and struck a motorcycle.  The car then struck another car then another pulling a trailer.  All drivers were killed and state highway 39 shut down for over four hours.

Idaho’s 44 counties will receive a combined $35.8 million under a program intended to offset the loss of property taxes on federally managed land within the state.  About 63% of Idaho is federally managed lands, and its payment is the seventh-highest among states this year. California is receiving the most at about $59 million, followed by New Mexico and Utah at about $44 million each.

A body was found in the south hills Tuesday evening.  Authorities confirm the body was found about a half mile south of Magic Mountain around 4pm.  An autopsy is underway.  The Cassia County Sheriff’s office said foul play is not suspected at this time.

If you love road construction, you are going to going to love this.  The transportation department will begin work Monday in four southern Idaho counties.  Seal coating is set for roads in Jerome, Twin Falls, Gooding and Lincoln Counties.  Highways 24, 25, 26, 46 and 50.  Traffic will be reduced to one lane.  Work should be completed by the end of July.

St Lukes say they will be soon offering vaccinations to children six months to 5 years old.  They say expect the shots to begin in about a week.

OSHA has issued a fine a local potato processing plant following a fatal accident that occurred in January.  62 year old Royce Jensen died after falling from a catwalk at the Gem State Processing plant in Heyburn.  The company was fined 28 thousand 714 dollars. 

Contractors with Twin Falls will reconstruct and widen a section of Addison Avenue East between Eastland Drive and Carriage Lane North beginning Monday. The street will be narrowed to a single-lane.

The high school softball all state teams have been announced.  In 4A sophomore Autumn Allen from Jerome in Outfield along with Freshman Molly Hodge from Twin Falls both on the first team.  On the second team, Pitchers include Sophmore Sydney McMurdie from Twin Falls, and Freshman Makinzie Nelson from Wood River.  In the Catcher position Sophmore Syeney Jund from Twin Falls.  For Infield, Junior Grendel Sprong from Wood River and Freshman Alvia Pizarro from Twin Falls Senior Reece Floyd from Mountain and Sophmore Kaymbri Beck from Burley.  In the outfield Senior Reagan Rex from Twin Falls is on the list.
