With blizzard conditions and whiteout in parts of southern Idaho, we come on the air this morning with many roads and school districts closed today.  Also U.S. 20 from Mountain Home to Fairfield.  State Highway 46 from Camas Gooding line to U.S. 20 is closed.  U.S. 26 rom Carey to Big Lost River is also closed.  Motorists expect closures.  Twin Falls City Hall will operate with reduced staff to allow staff who live outside the City limits to work from home.


The twin Falls police department report they responded to the 400 block of Hankins Road just after midnight yesterday where gunshots were reported being fired outside of a residence.  They found a 38 year old man who was armed with a rifle.  The situation escalated leading an officer to shoot the suspect.  There were no other injuries and no word on the condition of the suspect.  The prosecutor from Ada County will investigate.


CSI announced yesterday that the performance o the Peking Acrobats will be canceled.  They were set to perform next Wednesday.  The cancellation is due to a delay in travel documents for the performers who were slated to travel to the United States from China this week.

The BLM wants to hear from you.  They are looking for your thoughts about the silver city travel management plan environmental assessment.  Motorized routes are planned for up to a 1000 miles in Owyhee county.


A new bill introduced yesterday in the Idaho Legislature would make it a crime to use sexually explicit images generated by artificial intelligence to harass victims or extort money from the victim depicted.  If the bill is passed into law, it would become a crime to use sexually explicit media, generated by AI, to “annoy, terrify, threaten, intimidate, harass, offend, humiliate or degrade an identifiable individual depicted by the media.”

Yesterday afternoon two men were rescued after being caught in an avalanche near the Montana boarder.  A third person is believed to be dead. 


42 year old Erika Brock who is one of the suspects in the murder of Bill Eakin of Jerome had her hearing continued yesterday in Jerome.  She faces accessory to first degree murder charges.  She is currently in a recovery program.
