After closing out the season with a 7-2 record in the Scenic West Athletic Conference, the College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team is headed back to familiar territory: their fourth visit to Region 18 Tournament that they've won three years straight. If they manage two wins this weekend, they'll be guaranteed a spot at the national tourney in Casper, WY. CSI Women's Basketball plays College of Southern Nevada at 7:30 p.m. tonight, at the Region 18 Tournament in Taylorsville Utah.
On to the baseball diamonds from yesterday, Mountain Home took the win over Kimberly 6 to 2. It was Thunder Ridge 8 Minico 1. Declo downed Soda Springs 12 to 3. Glenns Ferry took the first game with Garden Valley after 5 inning 15 to 2. The took the second game after 5 innings 4 to 2.
For Softball, Buhl took the win over Filer 12 to 2. Declo outlasted Soda Springs 6 to 5 and Glenns Ferry for the win over Garden Vallley 22 to 0. Kimberly took the win in a double header with Minico 11 to 0 and 14 to 3. Buhl outlasted Filer in Five innings 12 to 2. Declo took the win over Soda Springs 6 to 5 and it was Glenns Ferry 22 Garden Valley 22 to 0 in five innings.
On the sports schedule for today, first for high school baseball. Twin Falls travels to Capitol to play Borah, Centennial visits Canyon Ridge. Glenns Ferry heads to Wendell, Declo goes to Filer, South Freemont vists Gooding, Caldwell goes to Mountain Home to play Wood River. Burley will be part of the Dixie Invitational in St. George Utah. Tomorrow Filer hosts South Freemont, Gooding goes to Jerome, Twin Falls goes to Rocky Mountain and Minico visits Bishop Kelly. Wood River travels to Salmon, Twin Falls travels to centennial, south Fremont goes to Filer, Marsh Valley to Kimberly.
For softball, today, Glenns Ferry visits Wendell, South Fremont visits gooding, Wood River goes to Buhl, Mountain Home to Filer. On Saturday, South Freont visits Filer, Canyon Ridge and Gooding meet up in Emmett and Century to Jerome.
