Sports 4/25/24


Taya Manzanares had a big weekend for the Golden Eagles, helping CSI to four wins over Snow College and earning Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week accolades.  The sophomore outfielder finished the four games with a .643 batting average and nine RBI. The seventh-ranked Golden Eagles host Colorado Northwestern Friday and Saturday before finishing the regular season at USU Eastern.



From the High School baseball games yesterday, Lighthouse took the win over Garden Valley in both games of a double header.  The scores, 14 to 3 in 5 innings in the first game and 17 to 8 in the second after three innings.  Glenns Ferry for the win over Vision Charter 10 to 7. 



In softball scores, Buhl defeated Wendell 16 to 6.  Glenns Ferry defeated Vision Charter 12 to 0 in five innings. 



On the diamonds today, first for high school baseball, Wendell travels to Melba.  Gooding will host Declo, Twin Falls to Burley.  Jerome to Canyon Ridge.  Fruitland will play in Kimberly. 



For the  softball games, Burley travels to Minico, Canyon Ridge to Jerome, Wendell to Filer, Glenns Ferry to Melba, Declo to West Side.
