An accident last night just after 10 near Wendell has claimed one life. Police say it happened on I-84 when a male driver was traveling the wrong way in the westbound lane when he collided head on with a semi. The truck drove through the median across the eastbound lanes and through a fence before coming to rest on the frontage road.

It’s believed the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Supreme Court has declined to say whether an opinion “inadvertently” posted and then quickly removed from its website on yesterday in a high-profile Idaho abortion case represents its final decision. On Monday what the governor of Idaho is calling a library bounty goes into effect. The legislation, passed by lawmakers in April and signed into law soon after by a reluctant Gov. Brad Little, provides a mechanism for filing lawsuits against school or public libraries if minors are able to access materials whose contents are deemed “harmful.”
The Idaho division of motor vehicles says they are experiencing outages with the drivers knowledge testing stations. Idaho uses touch-screen computer stations to give new drivers and new residents the written portion of the Idaho driver’s test. Since the end of May, the DMV have had to rely on paper when the equipment fails.
